Eda Levenson is an educator and artist. Eda has led social justice efforts with youth for over a decade. Additionally, she is the founder of Lady Fancy Nails, a nail art company that provides people and brands with unique nail art designs rooted in expression, self-care, and individuality. Eda’s work as both an nail artists and educator is defined by a deep commitment to cultivating spaces that enable marginalized communities to self-actualize and thrive. Eda has worked with notable brands and institutions such as CFDA, The Met, Chromat, Chillhouse, and Nike. Eda holds a Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Geneva White is drawn to spaces and people that are typically missed by others. This is reflected in her photography (@genevalw), as well as what inspires her work with young people. Geneva’s photography has been featured and exhibited in various publications and forums; most recently in Hannah Magazine’s inaugural edition. Geneva’s own experience as a young person mirrors that of the youth that she serves. Geneva has worked extensively in higher arts-education, ultimately leading to her belief in the necessity to disrupt the current model of education that remains the barrier for many young people in NYC. Geneva received her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education at Seton Hill University.
Mikey Cordero is a transmedia storyteller, multimedia educator, event producer, and creative agitator. As a native New Yorker and Boricua, his work centers around themes of radical youth pedagogy and cultural resilience. He’s overseen youth initiated and led social justice campaigns, exhibitions, and creative content that aims to ignite change in their communities. Mikey’s work has been featured at historic cultural institutions such as Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio, and Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute. Mikey is the co-founder of Makossa Cookout, one of NYC’s longest standing outdoor summer soiree, as well as Fresthetic, a boutique/gallery space in Williamsburg. Additionally, Mikey has 12 years of designing and leading art-education programming for NYC youth.
